Execution

N-Sea’s smart solution

Over time, N-Sea developed bespoke preventative and corrective solutions to replace faulty cable sections. Various solutions were designed, engineered and scheduled to reduce outage duration, align
the outages with scheduled maintenance, and remain within OFGEM budget constraints.

These solutions included the use of spare HDD ducts, temporary cable sections, pre-dredged trenches, and vessel solutions for varying water depths and cable lengths. N-Sea deployed its in- house repair vessel Curo (DP2 and anchor handling including beaching) alongside jack-up solutions from the market to deliver optimal project outcomes.
